Abstract
It has been taken as one of the top priorities to promote the development of the surrounding areas of stations through the construction of high-speed railway hubs in China, in order to form a high-quality urban network with high-speed railway hub and line connectivity. Shenzhen, the core city of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in China's national strategic planning and the pioneer demonstration city of socialism with Chinese characteristics, while suffers from an extreme shortage of land resources, which makes it to be a typical high-density city. Although Qingshuihe is located in the core area of Shenzhen, this area is mainly occupied by some kinds of inferior industry, warehousing and logistics, covered with deteriorate and inefficient factories and warehouses. Qingshuihe is significantly inferior to its surrounding areas, no matter in the quality of urban environment or the public facilities. Last year, Guangdong Province government decided to build a high-speed railway hub in this area, which included a high-speed railway line, an intercity railway line, and reserved space for possible additional lines in the future. This provides an opportunity of redevelopment in this area. Serial plans in the area are carried out by the local government, aiming at improving the overall urban quality and achieving the maximization of the traffic, economic and social benefits brought by the high-speed railway hub. Spatial integration and transit-oriented development are the main planning principle of this project. Learning form the planning of shibuya subway station in Japan and west kowloon high speed railway station in Hong Kong, this high-speed railway hub integrates the spatial functions of transportation, commerce, business office and municipal services to maximize the usage of land and space. Our project particularly emphasizes on the study of transportation system, including road system, railway system and pedestrian passageway system. The horizontal and vertical layout of the aboveground, ground and underground have been well coordinated in the plan, in order to form a multi-functional and multi-level high-speed railway hub. This plan would help Qingshuihe get rid of the current difficulties in isolated traffic and economic depression. Also it would promote the road network and transportation system, and upgrade industry structure. In addition, this plan provides guidance and regulatory requirements for further urban renewal plans, shanty town transformation plans, infrastructure constructions, etc. . It will facilitate the renewal and further development of Qingshuihe, and strengthen the effectively economic and traffic radiation ability of Shenzhen. This plan is a practice that aims to build a highly efficient urban living room around the area of high-speed railway hub because of land constraint. Also it would provide a successful reference of planning high-speed railway hubs in high-density urban areas.
